Junior Golf Academy

The junior golf academy at Yarrambat Park Golf Course is delivered in partnership with Golf Australia’s Rippers MyGolf Junior program.

The program is available to boys and girls aged between 6 and 17 years old.

Junior Academy classes start the first week of each school term. Join our Junior Golf Academy for:
– 4 Terms Annually
– 8 one-hour sessions per term

Our Classes

Yarrambat Park Golf Course offers three classes, based on student age and skill level.

Rookies

5-10 Years of Age
The rookie class is the perfect starting point for children who are new to the game of golf. With a focus on fun, movement, and exploration, kids will be introduced to the core skills of golf – from gripping the club and stance, to their very first swings.

We use games and activities to create an environment where learning happens naturally and joyfully. This program is all about building confidence, making friends, and sparking a lifelong love for the game.

Cadets

11-17 Years of Age
The cadet class is designed for older kids and teenagers. Still centred around fun, this stage will introduce more technical instruction as the students progress their golfing skills. Outcomes for students will include swing mechanic refinement, ball control, and on-course awareness.

We use games and activities to create an environment where learning happens naturally. Along with allowing the students to experience additional on course play opportunities.

Rippers

By Invitation Only
The Rippers class is the most advanced level of the junior golf program at YPGC. At this stage, junior golfers have demonstrated to our coaches a high level of proficiency in all aspects of the game, but are looking to refine their skills and knowledge to reach an advanced level of golf performance.

At this level, coaching becomes more specialised. Juniors receive in-depth instruction, perfect short-game skills, and learn course management strategies.

Your child will learn through engaging games and age-appropriate coaching that builds both ability and a genuine love for golf. With pathways into club membership, competitions, and mentorship from inspiring role models, Yarrambat Park is where young golfers grow, on and off the course.
